The Last Night of the Proms, at the Royal Albert Hall in London, is one of the most popular classical music concerts in the world, watched and listened to by an audience of many millions around the globe.

While it lives up to its reputation of a fun Last Night party celebrating British tradition, it equally encapsulates the spirit of the Proms, with leading international artists and an all-embracing programme, introducing new works alongside much-loved classics and bringing together the different themes of the season.

	02/12/10 - ROMEO AND JULIET PERFORMED BY THE ROYAL BALLET AT THE O2 ARENA The Royal Ballet is thrilled to announce that it will perform Kenneth MacMillan's timeless classic Romeo and Juliet at the London O2 Arena in June 2011. This will be the first time the world-renowned ballet company has performed in a UK arena and promises to be a ballet spectacle to remember. A stellar cast of Royal Ballet dancers including Carlos Acosta, Tamara Rojo, Mara Galeazzi, Edward Watson, Alina Cojocaru and Johan Kobborg will perform the roles of the famous star-crossed lovers for four shows, with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by the Royal Ballet Music Director, Barry Wordsworth. 	22/11/10 - GLEE TOURS CONCERTS TO LONDON & MANCHESTER Hot on the heels of concert events in four American cities earlier this year, Fox TV and Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy announced last Friday (19 November 2010) the television cast will play arena concerts in London, Manchester and Dublin in June 2011. Glee Live! In Concert! brings stars the stars of the Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning TV show including Lea Michele (Rachel), Cory Monteith (Finn), Amber Riley (Mercedes), Chris Colfer (Kurt), Kevin McHale (Artie), Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina), Mark Salling (Puck), Dianna Agron (Quinn), Naya Rivera (Santana), Heather Morris (Brittany), Harry Shum, Jr. (Mike), Chord Overstreet (Sam) and Darren Criss (Blaine) across the Atlantic to perform newly created and well-known numbers from the show. A string of Glee-based tribute shows have recently filled British theatres and arenas building on the popularity of the show, which is broadcast in the UK on E4. Glee features a cast of broadway musical theatre stars including Lea Michele (Spring Awakening), Kristin Chenoweth (Wicked) and Matthew Morrison (Hairspray) singing popular rock and pop songs including the trademark "Don't Stop Believin'". Recent episodes have been dedicated to the music of Britney Spears, Madonna and - for Halloween - The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Glee Live! In Concert! will only play two British cities during its European tour, calling at Manchester's MEN Arena on 22 June for one night only, followed by two dates at London's O2 Arena on 25 and 26 June 2011. 	18/11/10 - HOLY BIG SMOKE! BATMAN COMES TO THE O2 Tom Teodorczuk The O2 is in for a Dark Knight at the height of summer when Batman Live, a £6million theatrical action arena show starring the superhero, swoops in for 18 performances. The show is a mix of visual spectacle and performance art, with pyrotechnics, stunts and video screens. The 45 roles are filled by circus acrobats and trapeze artists as well as actors. In addition to the Caped Crusader, Batman Live features Robin and the dynamic duo's enemies, The Joker, Catwoman, The Penguin and The Riddler. The show, coming to London next August and September, will be lighter in tone and more family-friendly than the films directed by Christopher Nolan, the most recent of which, 2008's The Dark Knight, was the most successful superhero film ever. Unlike in the films, there will be no Christian Bale, George Clooney or Michael Keaton behind the Batman mask. Mr Grace said: "The star of the show is Batman." Tickets now on sale!
